Principal's Corner

2016-2017 Welcome Message from Mr. McGill

Dear Parents,

Greetings to another wonderful, productive school year. I am very excited to welcome you to YOUR school. I hope you are having an enjoyable summer.

As the beginning of the school year rapidly approaches, I would like to ask that you become an active part of your child’s education. We need you to have a free line of communication with your child’s teacher(s). We have a great team of educators who are each day more than willing to assist your child in being the best they can be.

Next, “Hello to my great students”! I am so eager to see how our returning students have grown and matured. Also, I am very interested in getting acquainted with all of our incoming students.

Our goal at Jefferson Elementary School is “95”. This part of our motto is said each day as a reminder to team members and students to strive for 95% in everything you do.

Finally, at Jefferson Elementary School we believe in the 4 R’s. They are:
  • Relationships – getting to know your child and their ability.
  • Rigor – setting high expectation for all students.
  • Relevance – providing quality skill based assignments, and
  • Reward – a sense of accomplishment from putting for tremendous effort.
Again, I welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year. At Jefferson Elementary School “WE BELIEVE”!

A. Keith McGill, Principal
