2016-2017 Welcome Message from Principal, Keith McGill:

I would like to welcome you to the 2016-2017 academic school year. It is an extreme honor to serve the students, parents, team members, and the community of this outstanding institution. I would like to assure you that we are committed to providing a high quality educational experience for every student here at your school. We understand that in order to reach the maximum potential of each student, we will need the partnership with the parents. Please feel free to stop by your school and witness the teaching-learning process firsthand.

Here at Jefferson Elementary School we believe in the “4 r’s.”

The first: RELATIONSHIPS! Our goal is to teach the total child, therefore, it is imperative that we build relationships with students and parents in order to be more knowledgeable on how to address the full needs of the student.

The second: Rigor! Through effective planning, instructional delivery, setting high expectations, and expecting the very best we will challenge each student to reach their full potential.

The third: Relevancy! Our team is committed to providing quality skill based assignments that directly impact mastery of state standards.

The fourth: Reward! The reward for all the endurance and hard work by students will be apparent in mastery of daily work, common based assessment results, and results on state standardized assessment instruments. Having knowledge that mastery and significant gain has been accomplished will instill pride and self-worth for all students alike.

Again, I welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year. At Jefferson Elementary School “WE BELIEVE

Respectfully,

A. Keith McGill, Principal
